Toastmasters club officers attend officer training from time to time.

Emily Richardson of Greater Issaquah Toastmasters recently taught at an officers training session. Her subject was How to be a Toastmaster at a Contest.

Our club officer participation in officer training is one reason Greater Issaquah Toastmasters has earned the President’s Distinguished Club award eight of the last eleven years, including the past four consecutive years.

Nick Milanovich Teaches Effective Use of PowerPoint at Greater Issaquah Toastmasters Meeting

Our very own Nick Milanovich recently gave a presentation on how to effectively use PowerPoint.

Members of Greater Issaquah Toastmasters are very fortunate to have the opportunity to experience this presentation at a regular club meeting. Nick Milanovich is a professional public speaker who gives this same lecture outside of Toastmasters for a fee.

Not every member of Greater Issaquah Toastmasters is a professional speaker. Most are not. People come to Toastmasters to develop their speaking skills, no matter their current level.

Many people who join are public speaking novices. Toastmasters is very relaxed and low pressure. Come see us.

Downtown Joe in the House

Seattle morning radio personality “Downtown” Joe Bryant paid Greater Issaquah Toastmasters a visit at our meeting last week. Joe Bryant has been a fixture of Seattle radio for over two decades as part of the Bob Rivers Show.

After the meeting Joe hung out with GIT member at the Issaquah Brewhouse.
